Michael Evans Vander Sys

Michael Evans Vander Sys, 76, passed away on August 29, 2023 in Holladay, Utah. He was born March 12, 1947, in Seattle, Washington to Arthur Omar Vander Sys and Barbara Anne Evans. He married his sweetheart Suzanne Claire Vander Sys in 1987.
 
Michael enjoyed horseracing, politics, art, fishing and camping. However, his greatest accomplishments were raising his two amazing sons Mike and Sean, graduating from Central Washington University, being a professor at Weber State University, coaching and winning the 4th grade championship baseball team and helping develop the Ogden City Rec baseball program.
 
Michael is survived by his loving wife Suzanne, two sons Mike and Sean and his grandson Cash. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur and his mother Barbara.
 
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on September 9, 2023 at the Memorial Holladay Cemetery located at 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.
