Michael Lynn Elzinga

On June 10, 2023 our beloved Michael Lynn Elzinga passed away in Taylorsville, Utah at 80 years old.  Michael was born on July 27, 1942 in Murray, Utah to Isaac and Cleone Elzinga.
Michael met Jeanette van Dillen and were married on February 25, 1966.  Together they had five children:  Dirk, Pieter, Steven, Yolanda, and Monique.
Michael served a three-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Netherlands from 1961 to 1964.  As a young man Michael receive his Eagle Scout.
Michael is survived by his wife Jeanette Elzinga; children Dirk (Laura) Elzinga, Pieter Elzinga, Steven (Amanda) Elzinga, Yolanda (Rob) Ruch, Monique (Jamie) Marsh; sister Natalee Litz and by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Cleone Elzinga and brother Thomas Elzinga.
A funeral service is scheduled on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Taylorsville 1st Ward Chapel, 4845 Woodhaven Drive, Taylorsville, Utah.  A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to services.
Interment will be after services at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Legacy House of Taylorsville for the kind, compassionate and loving way they took care of Michael during his time left on this earth.
