In Loving Memory of Michael Lee Nelson

Michael Lee Nelson, known as Mike, Dad, and grandpa, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 74.

There are no words that can truly express how difficult it is to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to us. We lost not only our beloved father, but a man who was a very important part of our lives and our family.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Kay Nelson, and his two sisters, Sharron and Tina.

He leaves behind his three children, Forrest, Desirae, and Shawn; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a lifetime of memories that will stay with us forever.

Dad loved his family. He loved his kids and his grandkids, and he took pride in being there for us and taking care of us. He had a love for animals and enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness, fishing, camping, boating, and spending time with his family. He had an awesome sense of humor and some of the best sarcastic answers to questions.

We would have given anything, for more time with him. More conversations. More fishing trips. More laughs. More ordinary days that we didn't realize would someday become the memories we would treasure most.

But even though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we were given. Mike lived a full life, and his love will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A part of him will live on in every family story we tell, every memory we share, and in the love, he gave us.

Dad, we love you more than words can say.

Thank you for loving us. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Thank you for all the memories, the lessons, and the years we were blessed to have you in our lives.

You will be missed, more than you will ever know.

Until we meet again, Dad. We love you. You will always be a part of us.
