Milton Robert Kelly, 82, of Utah, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, with his beloved wife, Linda, by his side.

Milton was born in Park City, Utah, on September 13, 1943, to Paul Clement Kelly Sr. and Lela Mary Munz Kelly. On September 19, 2014, he married his “once in a lifetime” love, Linda Reynolds-Kelly. Their love was truly special, and Linda was by his side throughout their life together and until his final moments.

Milton never went by his given name. To everyone who knew him, he was simply Kelly—except to his loving wife, Linda, who always called him Milton. When grandchildren began arriving, he lovingly became known as “Pepe,” a name that would remain with him for the rest of his life. Pepe was loved not only by his family, but by friends, both old and new, who came to know and love him by that name.

Pepe found great joy in the game of baseball. You could often find him sitting directly behind home plate, keeping score, watching every play, and emphatically yelling at the umpire, “Come on, Blue!” Baseball was one of the many things that brought him happiness, but his greatest joy was his family. Pepe was a family man through and through. He was proud to be a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family was always at the heart of his life. He showed his love by being there, making memories, and being someone his family could always count on. His presence, humor, stories, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Milton is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his children, Tracy Kelly, Bryan (Val) Kelly, Casey (David) Kelly, Tricia (Don) Austin, Chris (April) Stewart, Amy (Rick) Robertson, Matt (Lindsey) Stewart, and Tim (Rhonda) Garcia; his sister, Cindy Kelly; 17 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was welcomed into heaven by his parents; his brothers, Harry Kelly and Paul Kelly Jr.; his sister, Pauline Kelly Hicks; his granddaughter, Dezerai Robertson; and his grandson, Ritan Robertson.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Pepe’s love will live on through the family he cherished so deeply. Some still called him Kelly, but for so many who knew and loved him, he will forever be our Pepe.

In honor of Milt’s love of baseball, please wear your favorite baseball hat.
