Together Again!
“Grandpa Moonshine”
Our Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa was taken from us to soon. He reunited with the love of his life on July 30, 2013.
Anyone that knew him knows he had great integrity, strength and taught us all so much about character. He was a hard worker and expected the best from those around him. He worked with his father in the Sand and Gravel business, Kennecott, Owned Monte’s Bar, and then purchased and operated a landfill and worked with his son, Mitch. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they adored him. He spent the past few years missing his one and only but put his best effort in enjoying life as much as possible. This year has been a challenge with his cancer but he fought hard and showed us just how tough he is.
He is survived by: his children, Monte and Julie Thomas and Mitch and Kelly Thomas; grandchildren, Joshua (Claudia) Thomas, Melissa (Ryan) Archer, Dustin Thomas, Danielle Thomas, Misty Thomas, Karlee Thomas and Garrett Thomas; great grandchildren, Malakai Thomas, Aysha Gough, Jadon Medina, Charlotte, Evelyn and Henry Archer, Kiara, Isaak and Markus Thomas and Oaklee Thomas; brother Lynn (Nancy) Thomas and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife of 52 years, Gloria Thomas; both parents, Charles and Leona Solis Thomas and brother Clifton Thomas.
The family would like to thank Steve Garza for his friendship and support over the last several years.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm.
