Muoi Huynh

Muoi Huynh, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at age 87 on May 27, 2025 in Salt Lake City surrounded by her loving family.

Muoi Huynh was born July 19, 1937 in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam where she met and married Dieu Phung. Here she built a life rich in love, resilience, and family.

Muoi Huynh will always be remembered for her love of traveling. She especially loved traveling to Southern California and Las Vegas. One of her greatest joys in traveling was trying new foods. Muoi was always delighted to taste something new every visit.

What made her special was her cooking. Some of our most treasured memories are her home-cooked soups—rich with flavor, warmth, and love. She had a talent and passion for making wonderful soups that were healthy and delicious.

Muoi is survived by her beloved husband Dieu Phung; her children Nathan Fung, Yen Huynh, Manny Huynh, and Nhi Hue Phung, along with their spouses; her grandchildren, Alexander Fung, Andrew Fung, Christina Ong, Anthony Do, Tiffany Do, Dillon Nguyen, Tristan Nguyen, and Elton Nguyen.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 4th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 S. Redwood Rd., West Jordan, UT 84084).

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 7:00AM to 8:30 AM, with interment to follow at 9:00 AM. (6500 S. Redwood Rd. West Jordan, UT 84084)
