Myrl Flitton Thiel Moss

Our loving mother passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on December 9, 2011. She was born on April 17, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Curtis Flitton and Luella Rawson Flitton. Mom had seven brothers and one sister. Married James Brown 1945 they had three children; Tommy, Sue, and Jerry. Later divorced. Married Alfred Thiel 1965, deceased. Married Eldon Moss 1992. Member of the LDS church, sealed to Alfred Thiel in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom was very artistic in many areas. Designed wedding cakes, porcelain figurines and dolls (which the granddaughters still treasure), hardanger and she was also an excellent cook. We will miss you mom and you will forever be in our hearts. The family would like to thank Tracey Wallace from Rocky Mountain Hospice and Dan Vallela for their tender loving care during this difficult time.

Myrl is survived by her children, Sue Ann (Steve) Brooks, Jerry (Kathleen) Brown, Robert (Carol) Thiel, David (Leslie) Thiel; 13 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 7 brothers, son Tommy, and her three husbands.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit from 9:30 to 10:40 a.m. prior to the service.
