On the morning of October 21, 2025, Najmi Darzian Mohammadi, 93, while surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully in her own bed and in the comfort of her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. She sang, danced, laughed, cried and ensured that she left every stomach that she crossed paths with more full than how she found it. She was born in 1932 to Abbas and Fatemeh in Tehran, Iran. She was one of seven children with five sisters and one brother. Najmi married her first and only true love, Mohammad Bagher Mohammadi, building a love story that lasted nearly 68 years and spanned across the world. She loved to love and did so every chance she had with her strong and vibrant personality. Najmi adored the concept of family - Stemming from being a daughter and sister to being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a proud Iranian that immigrated to the United States in 1986 with her husband where she called Salt Lake City home from that point on. In her community, she was a constant that was known for her daily walks, waves hello and treats for the children. Najmi is survived by her four children, Parvin, Majid, Nasrin and Jamshid, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In her memory, please find an opportunity to sing, dance and love.
