Nancy Lee Craig

Dec 29, 1942 — Jul 27, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Lee Craig on the morning of July 27, 2026, at the age of 83.

Nancy was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah, on December 29, 1942, to Nola and Darrell Johnson.

Nancy left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her impeccable style, quick wit, and sassy sense of humor. Her ability to captivate a room with her expressive personality made for great storytelling.

Nancy was a poet at heart with a love for shopping, decorating, and gardening. A true foodie, she found joy in cooking and trying new restaurants, especially in the company of loved ones. Throughout life, she treasured the friendships she formed, many of which remained a source of joy and support for decades.

She attended the University of Utah and had a flourishing career as a conference and events coordinator with Hercules Manufacturing, which she retired from in 2002. She lived in several states, including California, Colorado, and Washington, before settling back in Utah.

She shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Max. Together they created countless memories, especially during their retirement years traveling the country in their RV and enjoying life’s adventures together.

In later years, Nancy moved to assisted living, where she continued to create friendships and win over hearts with the staff. Our family extends our thanks to Copper Creek, Canyon Home Health/Hospice, and Brighton House for the compassion, love, and care shown to Nancy in her final years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Craig; parents; sister Judy Wagoner (the late Bob), and her brothers, Lynn and Keith Johnson, as well as her beloved dog, Binki.

She is survived by her brother, Kelly (Sherry, deceased); his sister-in-law, Linda (wife of the late Lynn); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

A celebration of life will be held August 9th at Copper Creek Park/Pavilion located at 12115 Midas Park Rd, Herriman, UT. A meal will be served beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by an informal memorial program and time for sharing memories.

Though she will be deeply missed, Nancy’s laughter, stories, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
