Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Nancy Jane Duncan Hamann passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at a local hospital. Nancy was born June 28, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The daughter of William Duncan and Erma Golding Duncan.
Nancy was a member of Job's Daughters and the Ogden Elks lodge. Mom loved to sew and make clothes for her family; she did custom upholstery for boats, cars and trucks. She also made Doll clothes and the most incredible doll houses. She mastered the art of truck driving. Mom taught many of her grandchildren to fish and love the great outdoors and to enjoy bird and butterfly watching. She loved to travel and loved to read.
Nancy is survived by her loving children, Linda Jensen (Del) West Jordan, Sally Sundberg (Mark) Murray, Miles Lundstrom (Pearl Cypriano) Twin Falls, Idaho, Ottalee Schiffel (Frank), Clay Hamann (Beth), Jenny Blagtnick (Guy) Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Gordy Loritz, Michelle Corsillo, Jamie Young, Thomas Lundstrom, Jonathan Lundstrom; 8 great-grandchildren; her best childhood friend and nephew, David Duncan (Suzie); special and devout friend and nephew, Rob Duncan (Eunice); and nephews, Michael, Bruce and Rick. Mom had many friends that loved her and she will be missed greatly.
To Those I Love by Isla Paschal Richards: If I should ever leave you whom I love to go along the Silent Way, grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you there, (I'd come... I'd come, could I but find a way! But would not tears and grief be barriers?) And when you hear a song or see a bird I loved, please do not let the thought of me be sad... For I am loving you just as I always have... You were so good to me! There are so many things I wanted still to do... So many things to say to you... Remember that I did not fear... It was just leaving you that was so hard to face... We cannot see beyond... But this I know; I loved you so... 'Twas heaven here with you!
