Obituary for Nancy Luann Nielson “Luann” Age 65
Died on February 20th, 2023 in Murray, Utah. She was born on August 4, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah. To her parents Cliff Branan and Billy Jean McCarty
She married Tracy Nielson on September 9th, 2020
Luann was born and raised in Kearns, Utah. She graduated from Kearns High School in 1975. As a young woman, she loved boating, the outdoors, and athletics. Luann worked various jobs throughout her life, always gravitating to industries where she could interact with and help people. Her work was meaningful to many, but, most importantly, it provided her the means to take care of her family.
Luann was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. Throughout her life, she often sacrificed her own well-being for her two boys. Luann treasured her children and stepchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma. She was deeply loved, in return.
In addition to the people in her life, Luann loved all animals. Her dogs were especially precious. She also loved relaxing at home, sewing or watching a daytime docudrama while eating mashed potatoes. Luann wasn’t the best cook (which is why she was so skinny) but she really tried.
She always had a positive attitude through life’s ups and downs. Luann had an infectious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and always took time to get to get to know people.
The greatest day of her life was the day she married her soulmate, Tracy. Together they made a beautiful life, enjoying sun-filled Caribbean cruises as much as their simple day-to-day activities together. Although she was taken away too soon, we know that the past few years were the happiest of her life.
She is Survived by her Husband Tracy Nielson, Brothers Michael Branan and Terry Branan and Anthony “Tony” Jake, Sons Brad Morse and Marshall Gallegos, Daughters Brandy Lindsey, Crystal Nielson-Barney, Nikki Boynton, Angie Blake, and 12 grandchildren.
She is Preceded in death by her loving parents Billy Jean McCarty and Lowell Davis
