Natalie Gay Williams Neal

August 13, 1937 — June 24, 2023

Natalie Gay Williams Neal peacefully returned home June 24, 2023. Natalie was born August 13, 1937 to David and Alice (Jensen) Williams in Holladay, Utah. She had a strong mind and spirit that allowed us many happy memories with her despite health challenges in her later years.
Natalie was the youngest of her six siblings whom she adored. She grew up with her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers in their grandfather’s home on Fardown Ave. She loved her childhood; her mom was her best friend, she ran through the orchards with her hunting dogs, fished with her brothers and enjoyed the beauty of living at the base of Mt Olympus. This instilled within her a deep love for nature. She imbued that love of nature in her family throughout her life. She loved her flower garden, especially her peony and rose bushes.
Many people don’t know that Natalie was an athlete. She competed in softball and tennis for many years. Tennis was her true love. She always knew the top players and their rankings.
Natalie graduated from the University of Utah in elementary education and began teaching 4th grade. She met the love of her life, Dallas Neal at an institute dance and they were later married on August 21, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have two children and seven grandchildren. Mom’s family is her greatest joy and happiness. She adores her family and always sought their happiness.
Natalie was a nurturer and did so quietly. She loved people and loved to serve others but did so without drawing attention. She looked for the one sitting alone, the one that needed a friend, a shoulder to cry on. She loved her Savior and was a true disciple in the way she loved those around her. Her faith in Jesus Christ and His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gave her strength and courage to face her health challenges. She never questioned her faith and testimony but clung to the strength that only the Savior can give. We will miss her but her legacy of faith in Jesus Christ is everlasting.
Natalie is survived by her beloved husband, two children Lisa (Jim) Barnett, Jason (Jamie) Neal, 4 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and a great granddaughter on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Special thanks to Coram Health, the staff and nurses at the IHC infusion center and the 6th floor nurses and aides at LDS Hospital plus the countless nurses and doctors who cared for her over the last 20 years. You were earth’s angels to Natalie with your love, concern and constant care.
