It is with great sadness that we have said an earthly goodbye to Nathan Scott Bird and 4 of his children; Addisyn Avery Bird, Rayda Jaye Bird, Easton Gerald Bird and Francie Ivene Bird. In the early hours on October 1, 2026 an accidental fire broke out in their family home. Nate, Addisyn, Easton & Francie passed away from respiratory injuries sustained at that time. On October 2, Rayda joined her father and siblings also passing from respiratory injuries.
The Bird Family is a pillar in their Riverdale Community. They continuously participated in Church and Community events. They loved one another and could be found supporting each other in all they did.
Nate was born May 30, 1988 to Steven and Brenda Bird. He grew up in Morgan County and graduated from Morgan High School in 2006. He married Lindsey Aubrey on June 19, 2008 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 6 children. Nate was a Salesman for Industrial Piping Products for many years. He loved to travel with his family, cheer on the Broncos and the Mammoth and smoke some Flockin’ good meat. He loved to help teach his kids how to hunt, fix cars & excel in their favorite activities. He served as Second Counselor in the Bishopric where he loved his time spent with the youth in the ward. Nate was a great man. He was full of jokes and lots of laughter. He would give you the shirt off his back and he cared so much for all the people he loved.
Addy was born on May 12, 2011. She was a Sophomore at Bonneville High School and her favorite classes to attend were pottery and seminary. Addy was a girly girl. She loved doing nails, not just for herself, but loved practicing on others. She was a great sister! She had a very good group of friends and she loved being with them almost every weekend. Although she was small in stature, she made up for it in sass! Addy was a light to those around her and a great example of how to show love.
Rayda was born June 30, 2015. She attended 6th grade at Burch Creek Elementary. She was an excellent student and especially loved math. She was a spectacular dancer at Energy Dance Company. She competitively danced for years and recently entered the Duo Competition category. She was a friend to everyone! She loved unboxing new squishies and spent her free time crafting and getting into shenanigans with her best friend Lucy.
Easton was born on November 15, 2016. He attended 4th grade at Burch Creek Elementary. He played lots of sports and recently found a love for street hockey. He cheered loud for the Raiders and loved watching all the games with his Papa. You could usually find him all cozy playing Fortnite and mastering all the sprites. He loved big and would always greet you with a warm hug also known as Love Bombs. Easton was an old sole that you couldn’t help but love.
Francie was born on October 16, 2020. She attended Kindergarten at Burch Creek Elementary. She came to the world fiery and super sweet. She had a vast collection of princess dresses, but wouldn’t hesitate to play in the mud or use her ninja skills if necessary. She danced with Energy Dance Company and wanted to dance just like Rayda. Francie lived big! She travelled the world and rode every roller coaster they would let her on. Francie was the baby that we all needed, filling the hearts of everyone around her.
They are survived by Lindsey, Jayden and Teagan Bird. Grandparents Steven and Johna Aubrey and Steven and Brenda Bird. Great grandparents Boyd and Frances Birchell and Bert and Joy Aubrey. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. They are preceded in death by Steven and Patricia Bird, Dean and Linda Byington and Eric Bird as well as a host of other family members welcoming them on the other side.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Ogden Utah Tabernacle. 2145 Washington Blvd. at 3:00 PM. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Tabernacle.
