Neil J. Thompson Jr., a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2025, in his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. Born on January 30, 1961, Neil lived his life with a quiet strength and a deep sense of care for those around him.

Raised in Salt Lake City, Neil was known for his gentle nature and his unwavering devotion to his family, especially his mother, Velma. His caring personality shone brightly in the way he dedicated much of his time to ensuring her comfort and happiness.

Neil was not only defined by his loving nature but also by his interests. He had a passion for watching NASCAR racing, bowling, and wrestling. These hobbies brought him joy and were often shared with family and friends, creating lasting memories.

Neil is survived by his mother Velma, his brothers Randy (Kristy), Paul, and Mike (Elaine), as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Neil Sr. and his sister Jackie, both of whom he held dear in his heart.

His family will honor his memory with a viewing and graveside service on May 17, 2025, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery located in West Jordan, Utah. The viewing will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by the graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Neil leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love, remembered fondly for the warmth he brought into the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
