Daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away June 12th, 2022, after a series of illnesses. Nelda was born September 10th, 1945, in Ajo, Arizona to Thomas and Lillian (Latham) Beal. As a child she enjoyed learning about history and geography. Nelda and the family moved to Peru when she was a teenager and often told stories of her and her brother Tommy climbing on cliffs to look for condors and traversing rope and wood bridges. Nelda and her sisters caused quite a scandal in the 1950’s wearing pants in town.
When the family moved back to Ajo she met her husband Pete L. Molina. They were married on October 13th, 1961. The Molina’s soon left Ajo for Salt Lake City, Utah with their infant daughter and made the family home in the Avenues.
Nelda was a stay-at-home mother to Dora Anne, Patricia Louise and Teresa Lynn until they grew older. She started her first job as a sewing machine operator for Sundance Products making outdoor apparel and so, her sewing career began. She worked at LeTech the manufacturing company for Franklin Covey for many years. She ended her career at Ruff Tuff making custom seat covers in 2019.
Nelda enjoyed her children and often played jacks, jump rope and hopscotch with them. She taught her girls sewing, crocheting, cooking and other life skills. She was an avid reader, she liked making gifts for people, tie dyeing with the tie dye girls, and making her family their favorite foods. She also enjoyed the Desert Star Playhouse where she was a season ticket holder for many years.
Nelda became a grandmother in 1980 and great-grandmother in 1999. She was the best at teaching them to throw a proper fit, splash in the puddles after it rained and falling asleep listening to the windchimes. She loved to spoil them with treats as Grandma’s rules out ranked all others.
Nelda was preceded in death by her husband Pete L. Molina, her parents Thomas and Lillian Beal, daughter Teresa L. Molina, son in law Kevin Thompson, siblings Robert Lee Beal, Anita Ruth (Frank) Kramer, and Thomas Wayne Beal.
She is survived by her daughters Dora Anne Molina-Hill and Patricia Louise Molina; The Brats (grandchildren) Brian, Raven (Fernando), Amanda (Jon), Tony (Amber Lynne); Great-Grandchildren Kendra, Damien, Kashius, Ryker, Kingston, Diesel, Jaxon, Mayaserena, Triton and Rowan; Siblings Jesse (Rena) Beal, Joyce Childs, Michael Beal and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Her life will be honored at a Memorial service on Thursday June 30th, 2022, at 6:00 pm. At Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan UT 84123.Service Information
