Nelly Hofmann Clark

Nelly Hofmann Clark died December 16, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born December 4, 1926 in Zurich, Switzerland into the loving family of Karl Edward and Margarete Albisser Hofmann. She had six sisters; Margaret, Rosa, Ella, Ruth, Betty and Gloria, five brothers; Edward, Emil, William, Ronald and Richard. As a family they lived together with love and always served and cared for each other. She married Chester Knight Clark, March 22, 1948 in the Salt Lake temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they had seven children; Chester Dean (Joyce), Janice, Steven (Jan Marie), Gordon (Cheryl), David, Gary (Janet) and Warren (Teri); 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Each one was her favorite.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church, where she served in Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society.

Mom and Dad served a Family History Mission in the New Hampshire, Manchester Mission. Also they were service missionaries on Temple Square. Prior to her marriage she was a Stake missionary in Liberty stake. Nelly retired from teaching vocational foods at the Hilda Jones Center, Granite School District.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Friends and family may visit from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary prior to services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
