Nils Erik Helmer Wallin beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend died of natural causes February 13, 2013.
Born November 26, 1921 to Ester Munther and John Hilmer Wallin in Stockholm, Sweden. Married Vera Sofia Nordahl July 14, 1945 in Stockholm, Sweden. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.
Erik was past District President of the Vasa Order of America in Los Angeles, Ca and He also served as president of the Swedish Heritage Society in Utah. He was a talented interior designer in Sweden, utah and California. Active in the LDS church serving in many and various positions. A long time member of the Swedish Branch in Salt Lake City. Erik had a gift for making friends and touched many hearts wherever he went.
Erik is survived by: children, Hans (Phyllis) of Hamburg, New Jersey; Stan of St. George, Utah; grandchildren, Kami, Kim, Jane, Sandy, Christopher, Christian, Lance, Zachary, and Anne; 22 great-grandchildren; brother Rune G (Rena) Wallin of SLC, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11:00am at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
Interment, Mtn. View Memorial Estates.
