Norbert Friedrich Lehnig

Norbert Friedrich Lehnig passed away peacefully on November 9, 2011. He was born in Forst, Germany on July 23, 1931 to Fritz and Hildegard Salzbrenner Lehnig. He married Marianne Baumgart on May 3, 1955 in Freiberg, Germany; later solemnized in the Bern Switzerland Temple.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Marianne Lehnig; son, Brooks (Heather) Lehnig; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie), Bryan, Jared, Sariah, and Benjamin; 1 sister; 1 brother; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Stuart; daughter, Norma; and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 10th ward, 1985 East 3900 South. Friends and family can visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
