Norma J Hodges

Our loving mother, Norma Jean Hodges, 98, died on September 30, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1925 to Archie Kidd and Myrtle Lenore Crane. She married Don Pearce, divorced. Married James E. Hodges.

Norma graduated from South High School class of 1942. She worked at Eimac for 30+ years and was actively involved in the VFW Auxiliary for many years in Kearns, Utah.

She loved going on trips with her husband Jim, sisters, their husbands, and other family members. Travel included trips to Snowbird, Wendover, San Diego, and Hawaii. There were also many fishing trips with family and friends. She enjoyed bowling on two leagues until the age of 95 with family and friends. She took care of her roses and many varieties of flowers, that she planted and loved the squirrels and birds that visited her often, especially the hummingbirds. Family gatherings playing horseshoes and poker were a favorite past time. Sundays were always spent playing pinochle and five crowns with her children.

She is survived by her children, Marva Ann Moore, Kevan Pearce, Jean (Vic) Bergstrom, Kathy (Bill) Grange and Sister Marva (Harold) Jensen. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren, 5 Great Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also, her loving loyal companion Ted.

She is preceded in Death by Husband James. Brothers Alva, Edward, Keith, Clair and sisters Earlene and Joy.

Graveside services will be held on October 6, 2023 at 2 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah
