Norma Dianne Jensen Ashley

Norma Dianne Ashley (Jensen) was born on May 2nd, 1964, in Salt Lake County, Utah, to Norman and Henrietta Jensen, the youngest of 11 children. She passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at her home in Taylorsville, Utah, on July 2nd, 2025.

Norma was a lover of life who always had a story to share and a unique ability to make friends wherever she went. She never wasted an opportunity to catch up with family at reunions and campouts. She cared deeply for her family and friends and was always willing to help wherever she could.

She spent many years working in restaurants, stores, and factories, but eventually found her way to Sam's Club, where she made countless friends over her 18 years with the company. She loved her cat Midnight and enjoyed camping, fishing, hanging out with family, and relaxing by the pool (especially with the grandkids).

She married Wendell Ashley on May 25th, 1984, and together they had three children: Aaron (Lorraine) Ashley, Shannon Lowe, and Dustin Ashley. She was the very proud grandma to eight grandkids: Brendan, Kyla, Aaron Jr, Jennae, Damian, Elena, Abigail, and Tova.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, son-in-law Will Lowe, and beloved cat Midnight, along with four siblings: Diane Stevens, Billy Jensen, Sandra (Richard) Riley, and Anna Painter.

She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Larry Baird, Sam Jensen, David Jensen, Sheri Anne Jensen, Mychelee (Mike) Jensen, and Roger Jensen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary and prior to services from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.
