Norman Lee Kellogg Knaphus

June 30, 1937 — October 27, 2014

Norman Lee Kellogg Knaphus, 77, climbed his last ladder home to his Heavenly Father, October 27, 2014. He was a loving and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor. Norman was born June 30, 1937, the son of Rebecca Marie Jacobson and Torlief S. Knaphus. He graduated from South High School and joined the Army Reserve. He served a mission in Oslo, Norway from 1958-1961. On his return, he married his sweetheart Charlotte LaRaine Robison on August 25, 1961 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He later served with his wife in the Cleveland, Ohio Mission in the Ashtabula Ward. They were blessed with five children Pamela K. Davis (Wayne), N. Erik Knaphus (Teri), Angela J. Gorringe (Mark), Belinda L. Knaphus (deceased) and Loren K. Knaphus (Melanie). He was later blessed with two other children Keith R. Robison (Courtney) and Cari R. Susaeta (deceased). He has 25 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren whom he adored. Norman served in many callings in the LDS church but his favorite was in the scouting program. He worked over 30 years in the roofing industry. He was known as an honest, genuine, hardworking man and was loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by 3 sisters and 3 brothers and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two daughters Belinda L. Knaphus and Cari R. Susaeta, 4 brothers, 3 sister and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 12 noon at Canyon Rim 2nd Ward, 3000 South Grace Street. Friends may call on Sunday 6-8 pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E. or Monday 10:30 - 11:30 at the church, prior to the services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
