Olive Elizabeth Mott Belt, 87, was born November 14, 1920 to Orson Orlando Mott and Romanza Bancroft Mott in Duchesne, Utah. Passed away in her home on July 4, 2008. Married Robert Byron Belt, July 31, 1942. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved doing genealogy, singing in the choir, studying the scriptures, working in her flower garden and holding a new baby. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served with her husband in the Ohio Cleveland Mission as well as several missions to the Genealogical Library. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Survived by sisters, Betty Hamblin and Pauline Brown; children, Robert (Janice) Belt, Bonny Belt, Michael Belt, Rachel (Bill) McGrath, Lorillee (Todd) Thackeray; 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Shannan Mayers and brothers Boyd Mott and Charles Alma Mott. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 6th and 10th Ward building, 2000 East and 3900 South. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening, July 10, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East and on Friday morning, July 11, 2008 from 9:30 am to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church.
