Olivia Melesiu Katoa, a bright and loving spirit, was born on November 13, 2024, in Ogden, Utah. She was taken from us far too soon on March 27, 2025. In her brief time with us, she showed a warmth that brightened the lives of her family and all those fortunate enough to know her.
From the very beginning, Olivia endured the dark winter with a resilient heart, welcoming the warmth of spring with an open spirit that touched everyone she came across. She delighted in life's simple pleasures, finding joy in laughter and love. Whether it was playfully yelling at her father, Simione Katoa, or soaking in warm baths while her mother, Christina, sang sweet lullabies, every moment was infused with joy and innocence. The cherished walks with her uncle were special times for her, offering her peace and an opportunity to explore the wonders of the world around her.
Olivia's personality shone brightly; she loved to eat and laugh, embracing all that life had to offer. Though her time on this earth was fleeting, her spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of her loving family: her parents, Simione and Christina Katoa, and her siblings, Tevita, Amaleki, MJ, Kuenileta, Isileli, and Heikoti. Each family member holds treasured memories of her laughter and tenderness, a bond that time cannot sever.
A viewing to honor Olivia's life will take place at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery in West Jordan, UT on April 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at the same location at 11:00 AM, providing all who knew her the opportunity to celebrate her life together.
As we reflect on Olivia's bright spirit, we are reminded of the impact she had on those around her and the joy she found in life's little moments. She may have left us too soon, but her memory will forever be a source of warmth and light in our hearts.
