Ordell Edwin Passey "Be Prepared"
Ordell was born in Lanark, Idaho, to Ida Susan and Leo Fowler Passey on March 29, 1937. He was the seventh of eight children. On November 8, 1955 he married his high school sweetheart, Myrna "Kitty" Tremelling in the Logan Temple. He always professed his love for her, then and through his last day, "She is the most beautiful girl in the world". Ordell returned home to his Heavenly Father on July 10, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served many callings; his favorites were Scout Master and Young Men's President. He successfully helped over one-hundred young men achieve their Eagle Scout Award. He was honored with the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award, which is the highest award given by the Boys Scouts of America for service and leadership. He also served an LDS Service Mission with his wife Myrna in Salt Lake City. Ordell has always been known as a person that went the extra mile not only to help others, but in every aspect of his life. He always loved and accepted us all, unconditionally. He is a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Myrna, and five children: Pam Groves (Bill), Wendy Gianchetta (Rick), Kenneth (Victoria Crosby), Lisa McQueen (Terry) and Kelly (Heather); 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and three brothers; Norma Nelson (Theo), Gene (Elaine), Dora Lee Caldwell (Roscoe), DeVerl (Joan) and Glenn (Joan). Preceded in death by his parents, brother Dewain and his wife Norma, and sister Eileen. The viewing will be held on Friday, July 13th, at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, from 6:30 a
