Pamela Sue Lund Evans passed away peacefully on May 22nd, 2025 in her home, surrounded by her family who loved her endlessly, after a long battle with Liver Disease and other complications. She left behind so many who love her, but was welcomed home by many who adore her equally as much, one of them being her father whom she hasn’t seen since she was 14 years old.
Pam was born to Theril and Myrna Lund on November 6, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has one younger brother, Theril Lund, who she loved and adored throughout her life. They were raised in a very privileged childhood, where they were lucky enough to move around because of her father’s management positions in various companies. Some of those places included Long Beach and Pallas Verdes, California; Houston, Texas; and Atlanta Georgia. Her father passed away at the age of 38 of Colon Cancer. Her mother was left with the responsibility of moving the family back to Utah, where they would be near family.
Pam had a deep love for art and had the opportunity of visiting Europe to study art history with her favorite art teacher, Mr. Winters during the summer before her Senior Year of High School. After she graduated from Bountiful High School in 1970, she attended the LDS Business College, where she received her Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising. She went on to study at the University of Utah, where she met the love of her life, Gordon Evans. They dated for a short time before he served his mission from 1972-1974 in the Montana/Wyoming mission. After he returned home, they rekindled that relationship and were married and sealed for eternity on September 26, 1975 in the Salt Lake LDS temple.
Gordy and Pam lived in Bountiful, Utah for 30 years, where they raised their two children, Chad and Amy. Pam was a wonderful, involved mother who made sure her family was very happy. She served as PTA president while her kids were in Elementary School. They enjoyed various activities as a family, including boating, sports, camping and games. She loved traveling, but never took a single vacation that didn’t include her children. In 2005, after her children were married, they moved to Arizona for new employment opportunities, where they still reside and have made many friends along the way.
Pam had a love for life and a strong, infectious desire to share that love with others. She had a talent and passion for decorating and wanted anyone who entered her house to feel welcome and at home. She loved her yard and making it into a space filled with beauty and peace. She loved her country and what it stands for, with a fierce and deep love for the Thunderbirds, the Blue Angels and what they stood for. Anyone who knew her has experienced watching them with her, as she stood with tears in her eyes. The list of things that Pam loved was endless, with her family and grandchildren at the very top of that list. She was so proud of each one of them and their accomplishments and did not hold back when it came to bragging and sharing that with others.
Pam was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings throughout her life. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel and it showed in her Christ-like poise and demeaner. She loved her Savior and made sure that her family shared in that love. She was an amazing woman and we all cherish the time we were able to share with her and the example she set for us.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Gordon; their children and their spouses; Chad Evans (Shana), and Amy Clark (Ross); her 9 grandchildren, Mason (Kate), Landon (Ella), Hallie, Ashlyn, Cole, Jack, Noah, Luke and Emry; and her brother, Theril (Loni). Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Theril and Myrna Lund.
