Patricia Ann Baker

Patricia Ann Baker, 70, was taken home to her Heavenly Father in her home in Anchorage, Alaska on December 5, 2016.  Patricia was born July 9, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She spent a large portion of her childhood in Mayfield, Utah with her beloved grandparents and graduated from Hillcrest High School in Salt Lake City.  She was an avid learner the rest of her life, always following where her curiosities led.  Patricia raised her children mostly in Anchorage for 22 years, then moved to Utah where she resided in Springville and Provo for 21 years and then returned to Alaska for the past 4 years.  Patricia loved to serve anyone everywhere, whether by organized means with Hope Cottages, Circles, as a foster parent or by lending a hand to someone who needed it.  Teaching little children at church was a highlight of her week and it is difficult to find a picture of her without her holding or hugging a child.  Her love of animals was evidenced by a long line of cherished pets.

She is survived by siblings, Debi King (Terry) and Steven Harvey (Cassandra Turner).   She was blessed to have 5 children; Rebecca Brinkley (Norman), Brenda Noble (Steve), Jonathan Baker (Michelle), Christopher Baker (Susan), and Erin Nolte (Bryan); 27 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Harvey.  She also leaves many treasured and cherished friends that she considered her extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the services. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens, Salt Lake City, Utah.
