Patricia Miller Coleman

October 9, 1956 — July 16, 2025

West Bountiful

Patricia Miller Coleman—our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend—passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, from pancreatic cancer.

Born in Salt Lake City on October 9, 1956, to Charles and Lorna Miller, Patti was one of four children and grew up in Bountiful, Utah. She was known for her positive energy, playful sense of humor, deep compassion, and unwavering optimism.

In August of 1975, Patti married her high school sweetheart, Clair Coleman. She had a blast raising their three daughters—Amber, Amy, and Angela—but the highlight of her life was being “Grandma” to Sam, Jack, Tucker, Will, Kate, Annie, Cole, Lola, and June. Patti was a great listener who genuinely cared about the details of her family’s lives.

In her younger years, Patti loved biking and skiing. As health challenges emerged, she poured her energy into sewing, planting flowers, and family history. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found great joy in reading the scriptures and serving in many callings.

As a fun nurse, Patti found her calling in caring for children, especially those in pediatric oncology. She worked at Primary Children’s Medical Center for 22 years. Her career was sadly cut short due to significant back problems. Her empathy, dedication, and well-timed practical jokes brought comfort and laughter to her patients and lasting friendships to her colleagues

Patti had a special gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She was always ready to turn an ordinary day into a celebration. As the life of the party, she brought sparkle and silliness to every gathering—especially Halloween and Christmas. Her backyard was the place for snow cones, homemade ice cream, and spontaneous games. Her kitchen overflowed with sprinkles, frosting, and the giggles of messy-faced grandkids. Whether baking cookies, reading picture books in funny voices, or planning adventures and card games, Patti created magic in the everyday.

She will be missed by her husband, Clair; her three daughters and their husbands; her nine grandchildren; her two sisters and brother; nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and extended family.

Patti had a rare and beautiful gift for making everyone feel included, uplifted, and cherished. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
