Patricia Lynn DeCol, born on November 15, 1944, in Miami, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Holladay, Utah. She was a beloved mother, sister, and friend, and loving wife of 56 years to Mike DeCol, leaving behind cherished memories of her adventurous spirit and nurturing personality.
Patricia dedicated her professional life to managing the smooth operations of a dental office, where her organization and warmth made a lasting impression on both colleagues and patients alike. With a love for exploration, Patricia lived in various places throughout her life, with her heart particularly drawn to Utah, where she found solace and joy.
A woman of many interests, Patricia delighted in collecting ceramic angels, an activity that reflected her gentle and caring nature. She had an affinity for shopping and shared a particular love for Mexican food, often seeking out the best local cuisine. These simple pleasures brought her great joy and allowed her to connect with friends and family over shared meals and laughter.
Patricia is survived by her loving children, Michelle DeCol, Chris DeCol, and Marc DeCol, who will fondly remember their mother’s adventurous spirit and her unwavering support throughout their lives. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy, Gayle, and Parlene, as well as her brother, Dennis Bodine. Together, they hold dear the memories of Patricia, whose impact on their lives is immeasurable.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Parley Harris Bodine and Naomi Virgil Benjamin, her husband Mike DeCol and her brother, Tom Bodine.
A viewing to honor Patricia’s life will be held on September 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, both taking place at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, located at 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84123.
