Patricia "Toots" Garside Pugh

Pat was the beloved wife to Roger Pugh for 54 years. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising 6 children: Scott Pugh, Kristin Harville (Corey), Allison Kassuhn (Mike), Justin Pugh (Tacy), Liz Pugh and Amy Floyd. She was the true definition of a mama bear. She would always go to battle for each of her kids. She was a source of safety, peace and love for each of her children. 

Pat was known for her quick wit, spunk and infectious smile. She had a passion for gardening, which brought joy and fulfillment to her life. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. 

Professionally, Pat excelled in being a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years. She spent her last 20 years at Primary Children’s Hospital as a post anesthesia nurse. She was admired for her dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence. She made a lasting impact on her colleagues and patients, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity. 

In her free time, Pat enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles. She found solace in a good book, often sharing these experiences with her book club, family and friends. Pat also enjoyed going on vacations, especially, to Hilton Head Island with her family. She loved swimming, being in The South and going to the beach. Her zest for life was contagious, and she inspired others to live each day to the fullest. 

Pat will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Her memory will forever be cherished by her 12 grandchildren: Jing (Muy Muy) Cornelius (Adam), Fia Pugh, Aaron Harville, Isabella Harville, Trinity Kassuhn, Maxson Kassuhn, Bre Pugh, Helton Pugh, Ty Pugh, Riley Floyd, Taylor Floyd and Willow (Addison) Floyd. Great Grandchildren: William Cornelius, Matilde Cornelius and Pearl Pugh. 

Celebration of life will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 2-4pm. Please come to the casual celebration of Pat’s life.  An intimate funeral service will follow starting at 4:30pm. Services will be held at the LDS Church at 4176 Adonis Dr (3950 East), Salt Lake City, UT 84124.  

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the ward members, former coworkers, friends, nurses, doctors, and hospice workers who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. Your love and kindness have provided comfort and strength to our family.
