Patrick passed away surrounded by his family. He was a wonderful, kind and generous person. He lived life with laughter even in the toughest days. It seemed like nothing would stop him from living his life the way he wanted. Patrick loved to sit in the sun, watch the clouds, enjoy rainbows and the beautiful stars. He loved the northern lights and really wanted to see them one more time but was unable to achieve that goal before his body gave out on him.
In his younger years Patrick was an avid camper, he loved Arches National Park and the Uintas. Later, he moved to San Francisco, and the city became his true “home.” He loved everything San Francisco had to offer. He loved to walk the city, and my gosh, he walked fast! He enjoyed the bars, BART and the joys of living in the city. Eventually, he had to leave the city he loved to return to Salt Lake to care of his parents. Patrick took a chunk of his life and time to help his mother and father. He made sure they could live the best in their retirement years. Unfortunately, Patrick had some medical issues that forced him to stop caring for his parents and start concentrating on himself. The last twelve years of his life were challenging, to say the least, but he lived them courageously. He woke up every morning and would find a way to laugh.
Patrick is preceded in death by his Father Duane Player, Mother Evelyn, Brother Timothy and Sister Suzanne.
He is survived by his Sisters Cynthia Holmes, Lisa (Rick) Warren, Nieces Katie Holmes and Tricia (Andy) Harris, as well as his extended family, Mary, Chris and Briahna (these ladies were his angels, his friends and family), and his beloved kitties Boris and Natasha. May Patrick spread his wings and see all he wants, free from the constraints of his body.
Much love to you Patrick -
