Patt Brown 1938-2014 Sylvia Patricia Crow Brown, 75, passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2014. Patt was born May 5, 1938 in Ogden UT. She was adopted at age three by her parents Thomas F. Crow and Marian Lomax Crow and subsequently sealed in the Mesa Temple. Patt always felt grateful both to her birth parents for their sacrifice and to her adoptive parents for giving her a loving, eternal family. She was raised in Independence, MO, graduated from William Chrisman High and attended BYU. Met W. Kay Brown on March 31, 1956 and courted by long distance for nearly 2 years. She loved to travel in the family motorhomes visiting 40 states, DC, Mexico and Canada over a 20 year period. Despite being terrified of water she made 80 trips to Lake Powell over a 32 year period in the family boat, Rice Pudding--named for her signature breakfast. A lifelong member of the LDS Church, she had a strong testimony and served in many callings in the ward and stake Primary and Relief Society where her perpetual smile and bubbly personality were enjoyed by everyone. She served as ward compassionate service leader for 10 years but her favorite job was as primary chorister. She so loved that position that when she was released from it to become a Relief Society secretary, she cried so much that she was allowed to stay in Primary instead. Patt spent her life raising her three children, taking care of her family and enjoying her grandchildren. She attended countless little league games, band concerts and choir concerts. She would drop everything and knock herself out to help with a school or church project. She built an amazing "Dumbo" float for a paradea
