He spent his youth and teenage years helping tend to all the pears, peaches, apples and cherries that were grown, picked and peddled door-to-door.
Paul received his associate's degree as a Diesel Mechanic. He started his career at Hill Air force Base in 1985 where he perfected his craft as a Master Landing Gear Mechanic. Paul became a green thumb after his retirement. His grass was always beautifully manicured, and the flower beds always neatly arranged. He took pride in his appearance; he always liked his beard and hair trimmed nicely and he enjoyed nice smelling cologne. He was known to wear 501 Levi’s, Harley Davidson shirts, and a baseball hat with the logo of his favorite band, truck or motorcycle.
Paul had a great love for classic Rock and Roll from his teenage years. He has a collection of all his favorite artists including bands like White Snake, Deep Purple, Journey, and Van Halen. Paul has a love for fast cars, trucks and motorcycles. He especially loved Ford trucks. He was fortunate to have acquired many of his dream vehicles throughout his life. He loved motorcycles from a young age, where he rode dirt bikes in the foothills or tote-goat runs close to his family home in Pleasant Grove.
Paul was outgoing and friendly to people of all walks of life, and made friends in any establishment that he frequented, whether it was a store, restaurant or gas station. The people there all knew him by name, and he made sure to know their names. He made everyone he encountered feel important and took great pride in protecting and caring for those he loved.
Paul is survived by his wife Christy, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank those that helped care for him during this last difficult part of his journey, with a special thanks to our friends Alan and Melissa Jensen.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity, animal rescue, or do a kind deed for another. One of our favorite things to do was to put a little cash in a card and hand it out to someone that may need a reminder that they matter.
Paul will be missed by all that knew him and loved him. Life is short enjoy each day and find joy in the little moments. Until we meet again, we love you.
A celebration of life for Paul will be held July 19, 2025, at Davis Conference Center 1651 N. 700 W. Layton Utah in the Zephyr room from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The attire is casual dress.
