Paul Masaru Miyagishima (Miya)

January 20, 1944 — March 12, 2023

Our beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, Paul M. Miyagishima, 79,  of Midvale, Utah passed away March 12, 2023.
Paul was born January 20, 1944 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Kamesaku and Anna Tanikuni Miyagishima. Paul graduated from Bingham High School in 1962 and went on to work at Kennecott Copper Corp. for 40 years until retiring in 2002.
On September 28, 1963 Paul married Diane Thurber Miyagishima.
More than anything Paul loved his family. He loved hunting, fishing and anything golf! He loved family vacations and cruises. The last few years spending time at the cabin in Island Park, ID was a great joy for him. Most of all just having family with him for barbeques & dinners.
Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends who so dearly loved him. We will always remember Paul for his easy going manner, his caring and concern for everyone, a best friend to many, for his big heart and complete & unconditional love for his family.
Paul is survived by his wife Diane and his two sons and their families. Greg and his daughter Abby. Steve and wife Kris and their children Cade, Chase & Sophie. His sisters Julia Wada Valentine and Charlotte Higa (George). Sister-in-law Dana Walch and many very special nieces and nephews, wonderful friends and neighbors.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl, sister Katherine and sister-in-law Judy Thurber Fairbourn.
A graveside service will be held on April 21 at Redwood Memorial Cemetery in West Jordan at 12:30.
