Paul D Rogers, an adoring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, returned to the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on Monday, May 13, 2013. He "fought the good fight". He endured years of multiple complex medical problems, but in his last weeks he suffered with a rare vascular disease. He went on ahead surrounded by loved ones, sharing fond memories, loving exchanges and of course, laughter. To the end, he testified of Christ.
He was born on May 21, 1956 in Provo, Utah to Lehi and LaRue Rogers. He graduated from Weber High School and served a faithful LDS mission in the Netherlands. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Peggy Barker, on November 18, 1977. They had four beautiful daughters. Paul worked in many different capacities in the automotive industry, and for the last 15 years as a corporate trainer enriching the lives of many with innovative skills and raising the bar for excellence in sales. he was a natural motivational speaker and scholar of life's lessons. All those who knew him learned much from his character and the way he lived his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lehi Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Rogers; daughters, Cobilynn (Brigham) Dickinson, Kelliann (Nick) Johnson, Sadie (David) Fowers, and Nattilee (Kasey) Kinsman; 12 spirited grandchildren; his mother, LaRue Rogers; siblings, Earl, Anne, Kathy, Leon, Allyn, Karen, Jan and their spouses.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. at the Canyon Rim Stake Center, 3051 South 2900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah 84109.
