Peggy A. Blomeley

Peggy A. Blomeley (Lewis) passed away peacefully the evening of Monday, September 15th, 2025, with her daughter by her side. Born June 8, 1948, to John E. Lewis and Hannah M. Plowgain in Murray, Utah.

Peggy graduated from Highland High and went on to work in a cafeteria for some years before meeting Bill Blomeley, a mechanic with two young boys. She later married Bill in February of 1969 & raised his two boys, Bill Jr. and David, as if they were her own.

She worked for 17 years as a florist at Artistic Flowers. During which time she gave birth to a baby girl whom she and Bill named Angela. Later in life, Peggy went to work for Granite School District as a lunch lady, eventually becoming a Lunch Manager. She retired when her husband fell ill.

Peggy was considered a second mom to many children in the neighborhood while her daughter, Angela, was growing up.

She loved her hobbies, crocheting, making Floral arrangements, and Painting wooden creations her husband made with her sister Alice when they were younger. But most of all, she loved spending time with her daughter, Angela.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Sean) Barsballe; stepson, David (Shelly) Blomeley; brothers, Jim (Nancy) Lewis & David (Marilyn) Lewis and their families, along with extended family. Preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) E. Blomeley; stepson, William R. Blomeley; sister, Alice (Charles) Huber; brother, Thomas (Mildred) Lewis; mother & father, Hannah & John Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment; Memorial Redwood Cemetery.

Following the service, a Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, located at 4615 South 3200 West, West Valley City, Utah 84119.
