Peggy Ann Ham

February 10, 1950 — September 20, 2025

Taylorsville

Peggy Ann Ham of Taylorsville, Utah passed away after battling Alzheimer's disease on September 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Her legacy of selfless service, kindness, acceptance and her unique capacity to love has blessed the lives of all who have known her.

Peggy was born in Logan, Utah to Doyle and Betty Hawkins on February 10, 1950. She grew up in Antioch, California with her four sisters (Pam, Sandi, Shelley, Wendy) and one brother, (Ron). She excelled academically, and loved being involved in school activities and serving her community. Peggy had many accomplishments including serving as student body officer, being crowned homecoming queen, and earning full-ride scholarships to both Utah State University and Brigham Young University, where she earned her degree in Math Education. She continued to love learning all throughout her life.

While attending college, she met the love of her life, Gary Ham. They were married in the Oakland, California LDS Temple on December, 18, 1971 and they were blessed with six children. Raising their family was Peggy and Gary's greatest joy. Peggy loved being a mother, grandmother and in recent years, a great-grandmother.

Peggy made each of her grandchildren feel special and important, and she loved to attend every event they were involved in, along with making time for one-on-one Grandma dates. Peggy was never happier than when she was surrounded by her whole family. She was gifted at bringing her family together and creating an environment where cousins became best friends.

Peggy's love of the Savior radiated in the way she treated other people. She found great joy in serving her church and community, and loved to spend time in the temple. Her devotion to her faith throughout her life motivated her in everything she did, and she loved to share her testimony with her family through both words and actions.

The family would like to give special thanks to Summit Senior Living Memory Care, especially Liz Muro and her staff, and Scott Valsgardson, who provided loving, caring medical care.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Gary, her 5 children: Gary Ham Jr. (Julie), Melanie Reives (Earl), Matthew Ham (Lori), Allison Loosli (Keith), and Tiffany Barth (Paul); 21 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Doyle and Betty Hawkins, and her daughter Jennifer Ham.
