Peggy Ann Renner (Tice)

Her love for music was passed down to her children, they grew up in a house full of music, singing, and dancing.

Peggy Ann Renner (Tice), born in San Diego, CA on March 6, 1944, to John Tice and Alice Campbell Tice, passed away peacefully, September 27, 2026, in Riverton, UT at the age of 82.

She loved to garden and had amazing yards, designed and planted by her at each of her homes. At her Carmichael home she had a beautiful rose garden. She kept a home full of house plants as well. She also loved animals and had many dogs, cats, and birds throughout the years. With an affinity for fine jewelry, she developed a large collection of beautiful and unique pieces throughout her lifetime. Peggy worked hard and when her family needed to be taken care of, she went back to work after being a stay at home mom for many years. Eventually she worked for the State of California as an Auditor for the Dept. of Corrections where she retired from. Peggy lived many places in her life, from San Diego to Salt Lake, Huntington Beach, Portland, Concord, Longview, and several other cities, eventually ending up in Folsom, California where she worked, lived, retired and raised her kids for 30 plus years.

A Mom to two children, Julie and Chris, she loved being a mom and often said her greatest joy in life was being their mom. The ocean was her favorite place, and she would take her kids to Pismo Beach every year for vacation. Many years were spent at the beach playing in the sand, watching her kids boogie board, walking the board walk and eating clam chowder. She also loved taking her kids on adventures and would often take them to San Francisco, visiting many of the sites, going to museums, the zoo and the Palace of Fine Arts. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed many of the kids Halloween costumes over the years. Her love for music was passed down to her children, they grew up in a house full of music, singing, and dancing. Peggy had five grandchildren and loved being a grandma or "GiGi as her youngest grandchild called her. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her so much joy.

Peggy was the oldest of her siblings and loved them dearly. Growing up, she was their “bodyguard”. She always had so much fun with them and would have so many laughs when they visited. She loved games and would stay up late in the night playing them with family. It was hard for her to live away from her family, and she would talk about moving back to Utah to be closer to them often. The last couple of years she was able to be here in Utah with her family and enjoyed their visits.

Peggy is survived by her children Julianne Renner-Young and Christopher W. Renner. Grandchildren Colby Young, Maddie Renner, Adrian Young, Chris Renner Jr. (CJ) and Alex Young. She is also survived by her brothers John Tice (Tamra) & Tom Tice (Ava) as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, John & Alice Tice and her sister Janet Tice.

Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, 10:30AM at Memorial Mountain View (3115 East 7800 South). A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30AM to 10:15AM. Grave dedication will take place immediately following the service.
