Felix Torres, 84, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010, He was born in Del Norte, Colorado April 16, 1926 to Fred and Gertrude.
As a young man he worked the Mines in Salida, CO. He was drafted June 30, 1944 and served his Country in the Army with the H, 28th Infantry Regiment Division, in the European Theater of Operations in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Surviving the front lines as a Machine Gunner, he helped liberate the world, and freed millions from persecution. He retired from Stone Container and worked for St. Regis for 23 years.
He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife Beverly. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.
We will love and miss you, your Daughter, Debbie, Son-in-Law Dean Bachman, Daughter Michelle, Son-in-Law Craig Carroll, Son Phillip, Daughter-in- Law JuliAnn. Grandchildren, Brooke and Monica Carroll. Ajahnique and Blade Torres. Kristi Harvey and Great-Grandsons Gavin and Chase Harvey.
Graveside services will be held Monday September, 20 2010 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E 500 S in Salt Lake City, UT. Family and Friends may call prior to the service Monday, 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S 2300 E Salt Lake City, UT.
