Phyllis Jean Stallings Skelton

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away of natural causes on December 20, 2013. She was born in SLC on June 15, 1924 to Earl Liberty Joseph Carroll Stallings and Aleen Parrish. She married George Oren Skelton on September 28, 1942 and had five children, Barbara, Michael, Robin, Terry Lynn and Suzan.

She received her Bachelors and Masters from the U of U and taught 22 years. She served an LDS mission to Dallas Texas 1990-1991.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sorensen, son Robin Skelton, daughter Terry Lynn Figueroa, 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

She loved the gospel, learning, traveling and family activities.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the LDS chapel at 2125 East Evergreen Ave (3435 South), SLC, UT. Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S 2300 E, SLC and at the chapel Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment, SLC Cemetery.
