R. Scott Reynolds, a devoted husband and steadfast, hardworking man, passed away on December 5, 2025, in St. George, Utah, surrounded by family. Scotty was born on August 24, 1950, to J. Gordon and Jean Reynolds. He was the second of five children: Gordon (Marsha), Gary (Barbara), Tami (Craig), and Brian (Shannon).
Scotty loved working in his yard, tinkering with his toys, and spending time on the water. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating and jet ski racing, where he met his wife, Dorothy, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years.
Scotty had a soft spot for animals and was known to welcome strays into his home. He adored his cats and dog, and we find comfort knowing they will be reunited. Known for his steady hands and quiet strength, Scotty built a life grounded in dedication to his work.
He is survived by his two sons, Chris and Shane (Alyssia), and three grandchildren. He also shared a deep and enduring partnership with his wife, Dorothy, her two children, Kriss and Paula, five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Those who knew Scotty will remember his reliability, his humor, and the way he showed his care through action. His legacy lives on in the family he loved and in the countless moments of kindness, strength, and hard work he offered to others. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
A celebration of life, in an open-house format, will be hold on January 15, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery. 6500 south Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah
