Lola Rae Healey Colt, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully April,18 2014. Born October 30, 1924 in Alpine, Utah to Fred Smith Healey and Emeline Gertrude Nash. Married Roland O. Colt December 10, 1946 in Salt Lake City. Raised in American Fork, Rae graduated from American Fork High School. She initially worked at the Federal Reserve then, after staying home with her young children, she worked for over 30 years at ZCMI in the China and Silver departments where she made lifelong friends. Rae's love and self-sacrifice for her family always came first. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Scott) Palmer and Kathleen (Mike) Fenton; son, John (Debbie) Colt; son-in-law, Doug Boulton; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Molyneux; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Roland; daughter, Connie Boulton; grandson, Zachary Boulton; brothers, Fred, Jack, Nash, Dayton; and sisters, Mindwell and Lyle.
The family expresses sincere thanks and gratitude to Caregiver Support, Highland Care, and CareSource Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30 am to 10:30 am prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Online tributes or comments for the family may be posted using the links provided on this page.
