Ralph Henry Goddard

August 2, 1913 — May 3, 2009

Ralph Henry Goddard was born August 2, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of John Henry Goddard and Zina Anderson. He married Mildred Beatrice Kowallis, his wife of 74 years, in the Salt Lake Temple March 18, 1935. She died of natural causes Sept. 26, 2007.

Ralph leaves a son, Reed (Jean); and daughters, Justine Kelsey (Stephen) and Louise, all of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren all of whom loved and respected him.

He worked for Zellerbach Paper Company for many years and was known for his gracious, gentle, and honest manner. Ralph served faithfully in his Church callings and especially loved his work with the boys and the bishoprics he served. He leaves a legacy of wisdom and example and a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening May 8, 2009 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009, 1:00pm, at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.

His family gives special thanks to The CareSource Hospice staff for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Aid.
