Richard Johnson Aka Jeddy Paul Newmeyer

Richard Johnson was born Christmas Eve, December 24, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Paul Albert Newmeyer and Marian Atwood Newmeyer.  He died at his home, September 7, 2018.  Named Jeddy Paul Newmeyer at birth and third child, with brothers Reed Albert, and Tracy Clark, and sister, Carol.  Graduate of East High School class of 1958.  Married Kathryn Rieske.  Later divorced. They had two children: son Keith Daniel Newmeyer, and daughter Carolyn Newmeyer Goram. Jeddy later changed his name to Richard Johnson.  He was an employee at UTA (Utah Transit Authority) for many years, working as a Mechanic.  He was gifted in music and loved riding his motorcycle.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers; Reed and Tracy.  He is survived by his sister Carol Van Mondfrans, son Keith (Raye) Newmeyer, and daughter Carolyn and (Khaleel) Goram; and twin grandsons, Daryn and Dylan Goram.

Graveside burial Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 am in Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
