Richard Charles Andrus, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 13, 2025, in his home in Lehi, Utah. He was born on July 7, 1948.
He was someone who wore many hats and enjoyed them all, a true force of nature. He was the owner of Andrus Heating and Air Conditioning and a respected contractor who earned admiration from people he worked with, not just for his skills and knowledge, but also for the kindness and generosity he showed to everyone he met.
Rick wasn’t just about work; he was a source of energy in his community and in the lives of those who loved him. From coaching his children and grandchildren in many sports to serving on the board in many programs, he made every moment count. In any setting, whether it was on the golf course, showing his family constellations at the campsite, or sharing stories around a campfire after a hunting trip, he brought fun to every adventure!
He had a way of making everyone feel welcome around him, lifelong friends/family, or new acquaintances. His sense of humor, big-heartedness, and ability to bring people together were unmatched. He made the world brighter just by being in it.
Rick was a hard-working, loving husband to his wife, Sandra Horton Andrus, and a devoted father to his children, Cindy (Craig) Petersen, Rick (Debbie) Andrus, and Shawn (Missi) Andrus. He was also a cherished grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Rick instilled a love of life in his family and taught us valuable lessons on love, laughter, resilience, faith, and to live life to its fullest. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will guide us every day. We are so grateful for the chance to learn and grow from such a giant of a man. We love you, Dad. You will always be in our hearts.
The family extends the utmost gratitude for the loving care shown by Utah Home Health and Hospice First. Sandra and Kristy, we are so thankful for the love and kindness you brought to us!
