Richard Christian (Chris) Nielsen

Our beloved Chris, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022. He was born on September 18, 1968 to Richard and Joy Nielsen at Cottonwood Hospital. He graduated from Brighton High and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.
Chris was in constant motion. He stepped on a skateboard at 6 years old and never gave it up, winning many awards. He loved skiing and snowboarding. He was an accomplished guitarist; playing in Los Rojos for 20 years! Chris was the manager of the Lifthouse Ski Shop, and first began working there at the age of 16.
Chris had an easy smile and always had a kind or encouraging word for everyone he encountered. He was the most caring and thoughtful person imaginable. He was brilliant, talented and consistently the first to ask you how you were or to offer his help.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Dick and his two sisters, Jennie and Teri Ann. He is survived by his mother, Joy, fiancé Carrie Blaisdell, aunt and uncle Kay & Larry McAllister, cousins Brian and Matt and so many friends. We are all heartbroken.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
