Richard Kevin MacKay

Richard Kevin “Rick” MacKay, 61, of Kearns, Utah, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his home. Born on February 19, 1962, in Salt Lake City, he was the son of the late Michael Caulder MacKay and Dixie MacKay.  

Rick spent most of his life in Salt Lake City as a Mechanic. He was an avid hunter, and loved attending the annual Utah autumn deer hunt. He also enjoyed visiting his family in Kansas.

He is survived by his brother Robert MacKay (Cindy) of West Valley City, and his nephews Alex Mackay and Robert Mackay, Jr. He is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews, and his loving dog Misty.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Henry and Mabel Atkinson, and paternal grandparents, Roland and Esther MacKay.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 11:00 am at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.

Interment will be private.
