Bountiful

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Craig Titmus. He passed away peacefully on July 5 at Lakeview Hospital surrounded by his three children. Craig was a true Utahn. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, a graduate of the West High Panthers, and carried out his career working for the city of Salt Lake Water Facilities.

While in school, Craig excelled in baseball and football, setting the foundation for his love of athletics and sports. You could always find Craig rooting on his favorite sports teams- the Chicago Bears, San Francisco Giants, and Utah Jazz. When he wasn’t watching the game, Craig loved golf and jumped at the chance to hit a bucket of balls with his kids and grandkids - being a grandpa and father was his greatest joy. Craig loved the outdoors, nature, and history. He was a lifelong learner and instilled this love in his children. True to his love for the west, Craig loved listening to country music, always listening to best of Waylon, Willie, or Johhny Cash, and loved watching and reading stories about cowboys and Indians. Craig was one of a kind - authentic, exceptionally smart, and the funniest in the family – he loved to make us all laugh.

Craig was the beloved son of Nikki and Dick Titmus, brother to Lyn and Jeff, loving father to Trent, Jessica and Carly, and grandfather to Jesse, Cash, Jack, Lila, Wilson, Shon and Cady. He was loved by many and will be in our hearts forever. A private celebration of life will be held on Friday July 11th for his close family and friends. Please call or text Trent for details.
