Robert Burke

Robert “Bob” Burke passed away at home with his loved ones on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the age of 70. He was born on August 27, 1951 in Scotland, South Dakota to parents Frank and Esther Burke. He grew up working on his family farm and graduated from South Dakota Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He married Desiree Rubner on February 21, 1976 in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Bob and his loving wife Desiree moved to Sandy, Utah in 1983 to raise their family. Together they raised two daughters, Jennifer and Shannyn, and a son, Robert Anthony. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and sports – especially the Jazz and the Utes. He had a particular passion for coaching his son’s little league baseball team, and spent several years supporting the boys on his championship team – the White Sox. He enjoyed classic cars and tuning in to the classic car auctions, and also spent a lot of time watching cartoons and playing with his grandson.
 
He is survived by his wife Desiree; children Jennifer, Shannyn, and Robert Anthony “Tony”; and grandchildren Braden and Bentley.
 
A private service was held on Friday, September 2 at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary in Sandy.
 
Bob will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends
