Robert Joseph Farrimond

Oct 14^th, 1939 – Oct 17^th, 2023. Kearns, Utah. CWO-4 (Marine Corps, Retired) Robert Farrimond won his last hill in this life and passed away on Tuesday, Oct 17^th. Robert lived the motto Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful) every day of his life. He was faithful in so many things: family, church, country, and Corps. His family was the most important to him and he sacrificed many things to make sure they were taken care of. He was married to Joy Kerr Farrimond on June 6^th, 1956, and lived in Salt Lake City together until Joy passed away in 2018. He has now returned to her side and likely contemplating whose house to toilet paper first. He loved being a Marine! He served his country and the Corps for 41 years and enjoyed his title of ‘Chief’.

Robert provided for his family through several different careers including construction project manager, air traffic controller, mechanic, and accounting. Robert and Joy loved to serve; they served several full-time service missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and Joy also loved to travel. They thought the best way to spend a three-day weekend was to get in the car and drive to places like Glacier National Park. Robert was also an accomplished golfer. After Joy passed away, he spent time travelling with the goal of golfing at every US military base.

 Robert is survived by Pamla Adams, Judy Johnson, Kris Bartell Farrimond (Randy), Rodney (Heather Mott Farrimond), and all the grand and great-grand children that come with them. He is preceded in death by wife Joy Kerr Farrimond and son Randel Joseph Farrimond.

A viewing will be held at 10 AM prior to the funeral at 11 AM at Redwood Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, 84123. Full military honors, dedication of the grave, and interment will be at the same location following the funeral.
