He lived at the Sublette Retirement Center in Pinedale, Wyoming until January 2007 when Adella passed away. He then moved to the home of his daughter Jean and husband Russ in Sandy until his death. He is survived by his daughter Jean (Russ) Battaglia and son Robert Hummer; grandchildren Michael (Michelle) Vestal, Major Michelle Vestal, Danielle Vestal, David (EJ) Vestal, Robert M.
